Make any portable panel play nice with your Timberleaf. Some brands wire SAE two-pin plugs opposite of ours, which means the controller sees no solar (often 0 V / 0 A in VictronConnect) even in bright sun. This simple pigtail flips the polarity so your third-party panel charges exactly as it should—no tools, no rewiring, no drama.
Why you might need it
-
Panel worked elsewhere but not on your Timberleaf
-
VictronConnect shows 0 V / 0 A from the panel in good sun
-
Your controller hints at a PV polarity issue
How to use
-
Plug the adapter into your trailer’s SAE solar port.
-
Plug your panel cable into the adapter.
-
Aim the panel at the sun and watch charging resume.
Good to know
-
We don’t recommend modifying any internal trailer wiring; use this adapter instead.
-
Works with most 12V portable solar panels that use SAE two-pin connectors.
-
This adapter only flips polarity; it is not a charge controller.

Timberleaf tip: keep one with your solar cables so you’re ready for whatever panel you pick up down the road.
